From October 13 to October 17, Adopt-A-Family celebrated the important work that United Way of Palm Beach County supports across our community and encouraged staff to lend their support to this indispensable local partner. Themed around the Pixar’s Inside Out and Inside Out 2 films, our agency’s annual fundraising campaign was titled “Feel the Change” and featured activities that fostered team bonding and reflection on the work of the United Way of Palm Beach County.

The week kicked off with an all-staff breakfast at our Lake Worth headquarters. Our team had the chance to hear from Ketena Williams and Breanna Moore, the two staff members leading this year’s campaign, along with Blake Moore (Resource Development Manager) and Benjamin Beers (Philanthropy Manager) from United Way of Palm Beach County. The celebration continued with fun activities throughout the week, including an “All The Feels” trivia game, a “Feelings in a Bottle” painting craft, and the “Find the Feels” scavenger hunt. We finished off the week with a trip to Fun Depot, where staff let out their feelings with arcade games, laser tag, Go-Kart races, and delicious food.

As our staff moved through the week, we learned about the importance of supporting the United Way of Palm Beach County and the rippling impact on organizations across our community. Each year during our United Way campaign, Adopt-A-Family aims to get 100% of staff to pledge some amount to the organization. We are happy to announce that this year, we once again achieved that goal, with a total of $10,433 pledged!
United Way of Palm Beach County provides critical support to our organization and many of our partner nonprofits in the community. Their work has a profound impact, ensuring that everyone in Palm Beach County has access to a quality education, a place to live, financial stability, good medical care, and enough food. Adopt-A-Family thanks United Way of Palm Beach County for their immeasurable generosity and for demonstrating what happens when we all come together to help our neighbors and build stronger communities.
