HRC Gift Giving Event
Every December, parents of families receiving services from the Homeless Resource Center have the opportunity to select gifts for their children and have them wrapped by volunteer elves. We welcome the donation of new toys and stocking stuffers for babies, kids, and teens to stock the shop at the Gift Giving event. Financial contributions and volunteers are also appreciated!
2024 Recap
This year, the Senator Philip D. Lewis Homeless Resource Center’s ninth annual Gift Giving event provided gifts to 73 local families experiencing homelessness. The event was an encouraging opportunity to connect with the families we serve, as staff and volunteers were on hand to wrap each gift after the parents picked toys for each child. While waiting for their gifts to be wrapped, parents select stocking stuffers for each child.
Over the course of the three-day event, volunteers and staff gift wrapped presents for 183 children to open this holiday season. Thank you to everyone who donated presents or their time to make this event a success.
